About L.I.F.E. Houston

Since 1988, L.I.F.E. Houston has been feeding Houston’s hungry babies by providing an emergency supply of formula to families in crisis and offering education on proper infant and early childhood nutrition.

 

L.I.F.E. Houston is rapidly expanding, operating 12 locations across the Greater Houston area and experiencing an average annual increase in client visits of 20%. In 2023, we served over 7,500 clients and, with your help, aim to reach 8,000 clients this year.​​

What is Hunger Action Month?

Help Us End Infant Hunger 

Access to safe, nutritious food in the first year of life is essential to healthy cognitive and socio-emotional development in the future, including educational outcomes, health, and well-being—all of which support better social and economic outcomes later in life.

Infants living in food insecure households are at a higher risk of health issues, limited cognitive growth, and decreased academic performance.

Why we need your Support?

Food-insecure families are forced to make difficult decisions such as whether to buy groceries or pay rent. The demand for L.I.F.E. Houston's services continues to increase due to the rising prices of formula, groceries and rent.

 

​As Houston’s only baby food bank, L.I.F.E. Houston is uniquely positioned to support these families by providing essential nutrition for infants, including specialty and allergen-friendly formulas.

Choose a representative from your organization to manage the drive and register your organization.

Download the Toolkit 

Set a timeframe for the formula drive and designate a convenient drop-off location within your organization. Download the toolkit to assist with your efforts.

Drop-off Donations and Submit Reporting

Once your drive ends, report your results to L.I.F.E. Houston and drop off the items at one of our 12 locations across the Greater Houston area.
